Entering the journey of healing can be quite overwhelming. I remember that day very well when my master said to me ” are you sure, there’s no turning back. I was afraid when she asked. I paused for a moment checking in with my willingness to learn and my curiosity to know what she exactly means, so I took it on.
Now I really know what it means. When you take on entering the journey of healing, it opens you up. You become more sensitive as you become aware of the things you never see, hear or feel before. Let us see it this way, if I ask you, how many things in your house are green? Can you answer it right away? You probably never think of it and have no clue. But then after, the question stuck in your head, and when you got home, you begin to see green everywhere. Is this made sense?
Healing is the same. Healing will open you up to feel the thing you never pay attention to or have been avoided. Now you have to face it, and it’s uncomfortable, it’s painful, and it could be ugly.
Most of us live our lives in denial. We don’t want to know so we avoid seeing it, hearing it, and feeling it. We become numbness; that’s why we love taking medication for whatever symptom occurs in our body. We get panic and make sure we suppress it in time, so we don’t need to feel. When you don’t allow yourself to explore, you also become disconnected. Your body part becomes a lack of communication with others, and that’s when the pain begins. Entering the journey of healing may make you sensitive, but in the long run, you are healing by clearing all things that have been blocking you from what you want. It likes when you want to cry but you hold it or you want to scream and you can’t. How does it feel when you keep it? But when you burst and have a good cry or just did the boxing class and let it out, how’s that feel?
When you accept you have the problem, would you believe that the problem is half solved? If you keep ignoring it, it will never change, but when you say I see this is the problem, now you can come up with the choices of the solution.
Every problem has a solution. Emotion is an illusion. It means your emotion is not permanent. The moment of each feeling is not last, it comes and goes. The pain of holding it can be as long as your life.
The healing journey is a cleaning up journey. Believe me; you will feel lighter.
